Slot gaming giant Genesis Games has this month launched a much anticipated new video slot game called Robyn. The Robyn slot gets a unique dual release, meaning that she’s available to play on Flash and HTML 5.
Not only that, but the game rolls out over four platforms – Quickfire, Odobo, Openbet and Leander Games – meaning you’ll probably be able to find her ready to play at most major mobile casino sites. The imminent release on HTML 5 also means the game is available on mobile, with specifically designed mobile controls installed in order to enhance game play. There will be no discrepancies between the gaming experiences offered on desktop versus mobile play.
The video slot itself features the lead character Robyn, who we feel may be the 21st Century’s answer to Robin Hood, due to her archery ability! In this story, it’s the evil Harlequin Queen who’s stolen all the wealth from Robyn’s village, so her task is to fight back and win the wealth back for her people. She needs your help though to spin and win all the riches back.
This fairy-tale fun adventure proves lucrative for players too, with 243 ways to win. All pays are permanently active across the five reel slot, plus there are some great bonus features too, guaranteed to boost your bank balance further. Fun features include the pixie dust which glitters throughout the forest and Robyn herself who randomly appears after spins, shooting her arrows at symbols to turn them wild. There’s also a fab free spins round to take advantage of too.
Genesis Games is no stranger to providing top quality slots to different gaming platforms, having provided over 150 slot games to partners, including general release games and specifically tailored and exclusive slots for clients.
For Quickfire (the Microgaming platform), the Robyn slot is the first development partner game to have launched simultaneously in both Flash and HTML 5 so offers a new experience for those playing on Quickfire brands. However the company are confident it will be the first of many to follow as mobile gaming continues to rapidly grow in popularity.
It’s not just Quickfire who have expressed an interest in dual release games though, as Genesis Gaming’s managing director Geoffrey Hansen notes that quite a few operators have been requesting equal mobile delivery of their premium slot games.
Hansen said of this demand from operators: “Fortunately, our innovative Conception XD development framework allows us to deliver games ready for simultaneous online and mobile launch.”
This is of course great and positive news for forthcoming releases and puts Genesis Gaming ahead of the curve when it comes to game development. Genesis Gaming clearly understand the importance of dual release and offering players options. It is widely known that whilst players may have a preference for which way they play (online or mobile), they often dabble in playing using different devices depending on circumstances. Genesis Gaming knows that players expect the same level of quality whether gaming on mobile or PC, and the release of Robyn marks the start of a wave of games which could repair the gap between mobile and PC gaming for good.
